Ceylon Tobacco Company - Suresh Shah

Mr. Suresh Shah joined the Board of Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1st February 2021. Mr. Shah was appointed as the Chairman of CTC with effect from 16th February 2021.

Mr. Shah is renowned for his visionary leadership and commitment to good governance and has served as Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka’s apex trade chamber. He is also a Past Chairman of the Employers Federation of Ceylon and has served as a Commissioner on the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka. Mr. Shah was a member of the Monetary Policy Consultative Committee with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and of the Council at the University of Moratuwa. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Mr. Shah brings with him a wealth of business acumen.
